A two-vehicle crash on Sunday resulted in multiple charges for the driver who was not at fault but was allegedly impaired and driving without a valid license.
The crash happened Sunday morning at the intersection of Poplar Lane and Washington Junction Road in the town of Hancock. The road was closed temporarily starting shortly before 9 a.m., according to Maine State Police.
Based on a preliminary investigation, police said Katrina Springer, 35, of Ellsworth took a left turn from Poplar Lane onto Washington Junction Road and crashed her Kia into a Jeep driven by Amy Richards, 43, also of Ellsworth.
Springer and four passengers in her car were taken to local hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to police.
