EAST BEND, N.C. — A Winston-Salem man is facing multiple charges after a home invasion on Penny Lane in East Bend Friday, the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office said.

Javon C. Slade, 31, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, felonious assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Slade is currently in sheriff’s custody and receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained during the incident. He will be formally served with the warrants once released.

The sheriff’s office said it continues to investigate the incident.
