A man charged in connection with an August homicide in St. Matthews was indicted Oct. 13 in connection to two other Jefferson County shooting deaths, according to a news release from Louisville Metro Police.

Deonize Lee Jr., 22, was charged with murder for an Aug. 13 homicide near the Chickasaw and Shawnee neighborhoods, spokesperson John Bradley said. He is currently being held at the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections with a cash bond of $1 million, according to court records.

LMPD responded to a report of a shooting around 9 p.m. in the 4100 block of West Broadway. When officers arrived, they found a woman, later identified as Jermia Offutt, 28, who had been shot. Offutt was taken of UofL Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
