Nebraska junior outside hitter Harper Murray was selected as the Big Ten co-player of the week for last week’s matches.
She shares the award with Penn State right-side hitter Kennedy Martin. It’s the first time in the past two seasons that a Nebraska player is the league’s player of the week.
For the week, Murray averaged 4.67 kills per set on a .519 hitting percentage (28 kills with just one hitting error on 52 attempts). She added 2.0 digs per set and also received 11 serves without a reception error.
At Purdue on Sunday, Murray tallied 16 kills on 25 error-free swings for a career-high .640 hitting percentage, a remarkable number against a top-15 team.
