NIAGARA FALLS, ON — The fate of Marineland's remaining beluga whales remains uncertain a week after the shuttered park said it might euthanize them because it's run out of money to feed them.
And while the mayor of Niagara Falls Ontario, told the CBC that the park has borrowed some funds in order to keep the animals cared for, how long they might be able to remain is anyone's guess.
2 on Your Side reached out to Marineland for comment last Wednesday, but we've yet to get a response.
Watching the situation with concern from the offices of Niagara Action for Animals in St. Catherines on Monday was Catherine Ens, whose group over the years has protested outside of Marineland,
