KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Third Saturday in October rivalry is set to once again have major implications for the SEC standings and both school's hopes of reaching the College Football Playoff.
Sixth-ranked Alabama will host the No.11 Tennessee Volunteers in a prime time matchup on Saturday that will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on 6 News.
After 15 consecutive losses against the Crimson Tide, Tennessee has now won two of the last three games in the rivalry. Both wins came in Knoxville. A win by the Volunteers would be the team's first in Tuscaloosa since 2003.
