KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Third Saturday in October rivalry is set to once again have major implications for the SEC standings and both school's hopes of reaching the College Football Playoff.

Sixth-ranked Alabama will host the No.11 Tennessee Volunteers in a prime time matchup on Saturday that will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on 6 News.

After 15 consecutive losses against the Crimson Tide, Tennessee has now won two of the last three games in the rivalry. Both wins came in Knoxville. A win by the Volunteers would be the team's first in Tuscaloosa since 2003.

Saturday will mark the fourth consecutive season that both teams will enter the contest ranked in the AP Top 25. Both teams have a 5-1 record on the season, but Alabama is tied atop the SEC standings with a 3-0 record in conference pl
