PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Trinity Repertory Company is hosting an art competition, and the winners' masterpieces will be displayed in the theater's lobby during their annual production of "A Christmas Carol."
Rhode Island artists who want to enter must be between 13 and 25 years old. The prompt for the competition is "what do the holidays mean to you?"
"The ideal artworks will inspire a feeling upon viewing, whether that is warmth and festivity, quiet solitude and reflection, or anything in between," Trinity Rep said on its website.
The theater will accept paintings, drawings, collages, prints, textile works and photography. Oil paintings must be completely dry, and charcoal and pastel works must be sealed.
Ceramics, glass and three-dimensional works will not be accepted. Trinity Rep n
