LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Two horses were euthanized in October at Keeneland after incidents during races.

According to Keeneland, one horse was euthanized on Oct. 10, and a second horse was euthanized on Oct. 11.

On Friday, there was an incident during Race 6 involving Gotta Lotta Tempo and jockey Tyler Gaffalione. Officials said Tyler Gaffalione was evaluated by UKHC medical staff and cleared to ride, but humane euthanasia was administered on Gotta Lotta Tempo.

On Saturday, there was an incident during Race 1 involving Cielo and jockey Flavien Prat. Due to Cielo's injuries, he was euthanized.
