UNICOI COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) - The Unicoi County Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) will continue its efforts into the next year of disaster recovery.

The organization gathers businesses, organizations, and volunteers together to provide relief efforts to disaster victims.

Its director, Suzy Cloyd, said that when the organization hosted its Well Wishes event last week on the anniversary of Hurricane Helene, it took an inventory of the past year of the totality of its Helene efforts.

"We realized to help get us prepared for next year, we needed to dig deep," Cloyd said.

The LTRG decided it wanted to deepen its efforts to help victims while planning efforts to be better prepared for sudden disasters.
