CLEVELAND — After a year of bitter feelings and court battles, the city of Cleveland and the Haslam Sports Group announced a $100 million settlement that will help pave the way for the Browns to play in a new domed stadium in Brook Park once the team's lease expires after the 2028 season.

The settlement, which Mayor Justin Bibb referred to as "one of the most significant in the city's history," includes HSG making a $100 million investment to the city of Cleveland, plus the dismissal of the lawsuits between the two sides.

Browns owner Jimmy Haslam referred to Monday's settlement announcement as "a significant hurdle to get by."
