SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - In a word, the weather has been “amazing” as drier, cooler air settled in behind a cold front that swept through on Saturday. While temperatures have lingered a few degrees below average, a shift is on the horizon later this work week.

With high pressure firmly in control, expect more of the same on Tuesday, though with a slight warming trend.

Skies are forecast to remain mostly clear through the remainder of the work week. A few more clouds are anticipated to drift in on Thursday as Atlantic moisture makes its way inland, bringing a very slight chance for isolated, passing showers on Thursday and Friday afternoons.

Looking ahead, the next cold front is projected to arrive late Sunday, potentially ushering in a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms.
