PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The man accused of fatally stabbing a Portland mother two years ago was arrested in Montana on Monday, Portland police announced.

Connor J. O'Brien, 21, was lodged in the Missoula County Jail and charged with second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon. He will be extradited to Portland.

O'Brien allegedly killed 22-year-old Tiara Atencio in October 2023. Atencio's family has been notified of the arrest.
