PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A traffic stop in Peoria Saturday turned into multiple arrests when police discovered minors with loaded weapons.

That’s according to Peoria Police, who said just before 5:30 p.m. Saturday, officers pulled over a vehicle with five teen boys inside. During the stop, police said they developed probable cause to search the car.

While searching the vehicle, police said they found a loaded firearm, but it would not be the only one. Officers also searched the teens, and on a 15-year-old, police said they found another loaded handgun.

Officers arrested four of the five teens, which included the 15-year-old, a 17-year-old, a 16-year-old, and a 14-year-old. The fifth teen was released to his guardian.
