New Delhi: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has advised its players to avoid confrontation with Indian players and focus on their game when the two teams lock horns in the Sultan of Johor Cup in Malaysia on Tuesday, October 14. India and Pakistan will meet in men’s hockey for the first time since Operation Sindoor and the subsequent military conflict between the two nations earlier this year.

PHF’s advice to its players comes after controversies between India and Pakistan during the recently concluded Asia Cup 2025 in cricket. The Indian players, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, refused to shake hands with the Pakistani players during the tournament as a mark of protest after the Pahalgam terror attack in April this year.
