CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- One of the leaders of the campaign to recall former Mayor Kahlil Seren has joined his replacement’s administration.

Interim Mayor Tony Cuda tapped Josie Moore to be special assistant to the mayor for the three months that Cuda will occupy the office, he announced in a late Friday newsletter.

Moore was among several candidates who initially ran for mayor in 2021, the city’s first-ever mayoral election. She dropped out before the primary and endorsed Seren. She was then appointed to city council, where she served for a year before resigning due to the toll the job took on her and her young family.
