(KRON) -- October is National Pizza Month, and food delivery service giant DoorDash has delivered thousands of pizzas to homes across the country. DoorDash recently released its list of the 50 highest-rated local pizzerias in the country.

Six of those pizzerias are in the Bay Area. • A Slice of New York Pizza (San Jose) • Dimond Slice Pizza (Oakland) • Flour + Water Pizza Shop (San Francisco) • Golden Boy Pizza (San Francisco) • Square Pie Guys (Oakland) • Tony's Pizza Napoletana (San Francisco)

To no surprise to any locals, Tony's Pizza Napoletana cracked the list. Last month, Tony's was named among the 10 best pizzerias in the world.

DoorDash wrote that Golden Boy Pizza is known for its "iconic clam & garlic square pie."
