TUCSON, Ariz. - Hava Leipzig Holzhauer is the President and CEO of the Jewish Philanthropies of Southern Arizona. She's overjoyed Monday as the final 20 remaining living Israeli hostages were freed from Gaza amid a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas.
Holzhauer tells News 4 Tucson she stayed up late Sunday night to see the initial coverage of some of the hostages, reunited for the first time in more than two years with their families.
"It is really pure joy, so many of us couldn't sleep last night and stayed up as long as we could to see the videos coming in and see the reunifications of the hostages with their families when they had those first embraces and those first hugs," Holzhauer said.
