TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Rain from several tropical systems finally arrived in Southern Arizona, soaking parts of Tucson through Monday afternoon.

Conditions Monday closed part of Harrison Road south of East Escalante Road due to flooding, but it wasn't just the eastside of town that was affected. The Santa Cruz River roared back to life and neighborhood washes filled up once again.

Syed Asif found himself stranded Monday evening at Harrison and Stella Road after trying to turn around to avoid the closed road ahead.

"And when I was taking the turns, cars passed by me, the water splashed, it turned off my car," Asif said.
