RIFLE, Colo. (KKCO) - A man was arrested on October 11 after allegedly making threats.
The Rifle Police Department was made aware of threats being made against 46-year-old Aaron Michael George Spivey on October 9. Our newsroom received an email from Spivey, who said he had threatened to kill some of the Rifle officers and had not been arrested.
According to the Rifle Police Department, that afternoon, investigators obtained a search warrant and issued a “Be on the Lookout” (BOLO) alert.
On the morning of October 11, Spivey was spotted at the Wendy’s in Rifle. Officers quickly responded, and Spivey was taken into custody without incident.
Spivey was booked into the Garfield County Jail on the following charge:
Inciting the Destruction of Life or Property, a Class 6 Felony
