LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - 10/11’s Athlete of the Week is Sydney Wendt from Lincoln High. Wendt is a senior cross country runner for the Links.

To start the month of October, Wendt won the Lincoln Public Schools City Championship Cross Country meet. She ran a time of 19:32 for the 5K race.

Then on October 8, Wendt won the HAC Cross Country Championship in Kearney. In the race, she ran a personal best 19:11 finishing less than 3 seconds ahead of 2nd.
