DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) says it will review its internal policies after a protest by Minnesota Nurses Association (MNA) members during an Essentia Health leadership meeting last week.
Northern News Now received individual videos of the confrontation from the DECC, Essentia and the MNA. It shows MNA members confronting and chanting “shame” at Essentia workers who were attending the Essentia Health Leadership Conference on Oct. 7.
According to the DECC, the protest was not approved or communicated to staff beforehand and created what officials described as a “verbally hostile environment.”
