TROY – For any team hoping to win some games and advance in the boys soccer tournament, having a good goalkeeper is almost a requirement.

Sterling Heights Stevenson had one of those standout goalkeepers and noteworthy performances under the framework Monday.

Senior Antoni Zajac came through in the clutch with perhaps his best game to date, recording multiple brilliant saves as the Titans knocked off Macomb Area Conference White Division champion Warren Cousino 4-2 in a Division 1 district semifinals clash at Troy Athens.

Stevenson (9-4-2) will face the district host Red Hawks Wednesday at Athens for the district trophy. And it was Zajac who helped deliver the upset.
