A yearslong legal spat between two Scott’s Addition developers has drawn to a close.
Last month Dalian Development settled the lawsuit it filed against Hem + Spire related to a parking lot at 3210 W. Marshall St.
The parking lot, which Hem + Spire rents from Dalian, is part of the former Party Perfect complex that Dalian, a D.C. development firm, bought in 2018 for nearly $4 million.
Hem + Spire, based in North Carolina, became involved in 2021 when it spent nearly $11 million to purchase 1300 MacTavish Ave., a neighboring assemblage that includes the former Riverside PACE office building, the MacTavish Flats apartments and the restaurant space that now houses Scotty’s Taphouse. Hem + Spire’s purchase included a lease on Dalian’s M
