A mother died just a short time before her baby girl also passed away following a home birth, an inquest has heard.
On June 3, 2024, Jennifer Cahill, 34, originally from Worcester, gave birth to her daughter, Agnes, at her and her husband, Rob's family home in Prestwich, Greater Manchester.
The day after the mother-of-two gave birth, she tragically died, with the woman never able to hold her 'beautiful' little Agnes.
Agnes herself only lived for four days before she also passed away devastatingly.
The cause of death for both Jennifer and Agnes had not yet been heard at the inquest at Rochdale Coroner's Court, however, yesterday, (October 13), Mr Cahill told the hearing of the terrifying moment he had to call 999 on June 3.
