A Coastal Flood Advisory continues until 8 PM Wednesday for coastal Carteret, Craven, Pamlico, and Onslow Counties. A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect from the Oregon Inlet southward through Ocracoke Island through 8 AM Wednesday.
The clouds will stick around again on Tuesday, but rain is unlikely as the slow moving coastal low heads slowly northward. Winds will stay gusty from the north at 15-30 mph.
Heading into midweek, rising heights from high pressure building in from the west, and light northeasterly breezes will keep temperatures into the upper 60s and low 70s inland, mid-70s along the coast.
