Google on Tuesday, October 14, announced an investment of $15 billion to establish a gigawatt-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh - the company's largest AI facility outside the United States. The announcement was made during the 'Bharat AI Shakti' event in New Delhi.

Thomas Kurian, Chief Executive of Google Cloud, said the Visakhapatnam hub would make India a central player in global AI innovation.
