MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is heading back to town as the Memphis Safe Task Force begins its third week of enforcement.

It was more than two weeks ago when the governor first made the announcement that the federal task force was set to begin operations here in the bluff city. Since that day, the task force has made hundreds of arrests, and thousands of others have received traffic tickets.

Last Thursday, Attorney General Pam Bondi said so far 562 arrests have been made in Memphis, and that 144 illegal guns have been seized.
