MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Madison Police Department confirmed Monday that they were called to break up a fight on the city’s east side.
The call came in around 5:30 a.m. Saturday from a bus station near East Washington Avenue and Paterson Street.
MPD says responding officers saw a fight happening when they arrived.
Officers were able to break up the fight and attempted to arrest a suspect, but the suspect resisted.
After officers were able to take the suspect into custody, the suspect was taken to the hospital to treat injuries from the fight. When the suspect was released from the hospital, MPD took him to Dane County Jail.
The 35-year-old suspect faces charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and felony bail jumping.
