A Penbrook man will spend at least 25 years in prison after he admitted to throwing two molotov cocktails at the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg while Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and his family slept inside earlier this year.
Cody Balmer, 38, of Penbrook, pleaded guilty to all charges in court Tuesday morning — his first appearance in state court — for the April 13 early morning firebombing that caused millions of dollars in damage. The attack happened during Passover; Shapiro is Jewish .
