In Roman mythology, Auster was the god of the south wind.

In Montana’s Paradise Valley, where winds are known to roar between the towering Absaroka and Gallatin mountain ranges, Auster at Dome Mountain is looking to write the little-known mythical god’s name into local history.

Although construction still continues, Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur M. Blank’s new lodge/restaurant and cabins being constructed about 20 miles north of Yellowstone National Park announced its new name on Tuesday.
