The Captain James Gibson Chapter, United States Daughters of 1812, met on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Sycamore Restaurant in Berkeley County. West Virginia State Society of USD 1812 President, Patricia McKown Goodwin, attended the meeting with Chapter President, Rebecca “Becky” Davis presiding.

The meeting opened with the ritual of the organization and a business meeting followed. Two new officers were sworn in by the WV State President, Patricia Goodwin. They included new Recording Secretary, Johanna Myers and new Historian, Deborah E. Hammond.
