The criminal case against former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez could be assigned to a new Marion County judge after Jennifer Prinz Harrison signed an order recusing herself from the case.

Harrison signed an order of transfer on Oct. 14, 2025, requesting that the Marion County Clerk's office randomly assign Sanchez's case to another major felony court in the county.

The order did not elaborate on Harrison's reasoning for seeking recusal.

The case is expected to be reassigned soon, according to Marion County Trial Courts spokesperson Luke Britt in an email to IndyStar.
