LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Jack Mathis, the longtime co-owner of Work the Metal has died.

The business confirmed that Mathis, 61, died Sunday.

Work the Metal was closed Monday in honor of its “employees and our community who mourn our beloved Jack.”

Jack Mathis made appearances on WAVE across the years to promote the boutique on Story Avenue.

The shop sells jewelry and home decor.

The small business reopened to the public on Tuesday. Funeral arrangements for Mathis have not yet been announced.
