COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina women’s basketball team is the second-ranked team in the country in this year’s preseason AP poll.

The rankings, released on Tuesday, have the Gamecocks at No. 2 behind defending national champion UConn. The Huskies received 27 first-place votes, while South Carolina received four.
