Lots of folks treat their pets as if they have human thoughts and emotions but it’s easier to fall into that habit when your dog has very human expressions. Lil Max, a former stray that looks like a poodle-Shih Tzu mix, recently became internet famous for having a “human-looking” face, according to his owner Kat Nance, who lives in Alabama with her husband and children but prefers not to name the exact location. Lil Max has been featured by Newsweek , as well as on websites in Japan and Greece.

“Almost two months ago a TikTok video of our dog looking sad went internationally viral, as of today that video has over 25 million views,” Nance said. “Instantly overnight, our dog was famous – and I went from a normal Alabama stay-at-home mom to a content creator.”
