BISMARCK — Hundreds of North Dakota students received contributions to their college savings this summer by participating in a summer reading program.
According to a release, the North Dakota State Library, in partnership with the Bank of North Dakota, established a summer reading program called "Color our World." Every student who completed their library's "Color our World" goal received a redeemable certificate for a $10 contribution to an existing College SAVE account, or $25 contribution to a new account, the release said.
Over 425 children have taken advantage of the contribution, the release said. Families have until Dec. 31 to redeem the certificate.
