NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Thousands are expected to take to the streets in New York and New Jersey this weekend for the return of the "No Kings" march.

The demonstrations that originally took off nationwide in June are meant to be a nonviolent protest against the Trump Administration, organizers say. This month's anchor action will take place at Father Duffy Square at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Participants in the demonstration are expected to commit to de-escalating any potential confrontation with those who disagree with them. Additionally, march attendees are advised against bringing weapons even if legally permitted.
