Need help finding the perfect gift for the kids? Good Housekeeping's annual Toy Awards can save you some time and guesswork.

For months, experts at the Good Housekeeping Institute have been testing hundreds of toys, from tech gadgets to creative playsets, to see which ones children love most. Their goal: to help parents find gifts that are not only fun but worth the money.

“Engineers and analysts test these toys here in our Good Housekeeping Institute labs, as well as send these toys out to hundreds of consumer families across the country so we can get real-world feedback,” said Alec Scherma, test engineer at the Good Housekeeping Institute.

The testing team even brings kids into the lab to watch how they play, laugh and engage, helping them see what truly holds their attention.
