The storm is not likely to strengthen to a hurricane, but rather stay as a tropical storm with wind speeds between 39 mph to 73 mph. According to the National Hurricane Center, gradual weakening is expected over the next few days.

Will there be impacts to the United States?

No, Tropical Storm Lorenzo is out in the Atlantic about 1300 miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands. Lorenzo's track looks to curve northward as we continue through Tuesday and extend northeast heading towards the end of the week.
