Chattanooga firefighters battled a heavy brush fire that spread to a storage building on Brainerd Road Monday.

The Chattanooga Fire Department says the call first came in at 10:50am, reporting heavy smoke from a brush fire in the 570 block area of Brainerd Road.

Firefighters found the brush fire had spread to the storage shed, where it was then extinguished.

The storage building appears to have been for sale.

No injuries are reported, and the cause is under investigation.
