WAYNESVILLE, Mo. ( KY3 /Gray News) – A Virginia woman is accused of putting her miscarried fetus in a cooler and delivering it to the child’s father in Missouri.

Makayla Haedt, 29, has been charged with first-degree harassment.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a house on Sept. 18 for a report of a fetus in a cooler.

According to court documents filed on Oct. 8, Haedt had been in an on-and-off romantic relationship with the man for several years.

The man told a deputy that Haedt was a “habitual liar,” which caused him to doubt her when she claimed to be pregnant one to two months prior.
