CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - People who serve on juries in Champaign County will soon have access to free mental health services following their service.

The Champaign County judiciary is working with Katie Martin Therapy of Savoy to provide one 30-minute session free of charge after jury duty has finished to jurors who feel anxiety, stress, or trauma related to their service.

The judiciary said that "because jury duty is not a choice, the Court feels the responsibility to assist jurors who do suffer trauma to, at least, help them connect with a therapist at no charge to the juror."

This will not be actual counseling but a chance to provide the juror with safety and stability, giving them support for immediate needs and helping find additional resources if necessary. The therapist wi
