MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A 17-year-old boy accused of faking an abduction that sparked an Amber Alert last month has been arrested, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office on Tuesday said Caden Speight faces charges of presenting false evidence, shooting into a conveyance, making a false report of a crime and possession of a firearm by a minor.

Initial information in the Amber Alert indicated the teen, who was last seen in the 12800 block of SW Highway 484 in Dunnellon, told a family member that he had been possibly abducted by four Hispanic men in a van.
