A 14-year-old boy has been charged in connection with a shooting last weekend in Beverly, Massachusetts.

The teen, whose name is not being released because he is underage, is charged with armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, according to the Essex District Attorney's Office. He was arraigned Monday in Salem Juvenile Court.

Beverly police said they responded to a home on Simon Street around 7:17 p.m. on Saturday for a report of shots fired and found an injured woman who appeared to have been shot.
