WASHINGTON — Drew Struzan, the illustrator whose iconic posters for movies such as "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" defined the look of blockbuster cinema for decades, has died. He was 78.
Struzan died Oct. 13, according to a post on his official Instagram page. IGN reported that he had been battling Alzheimer's for years.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you that Drew Struzan has moved on from this world as of yesterday, October 13th,” the post from his brother Greg Struzan reads. “I feel it is important that you all know how many times he expressed to me the joy he felt knowing how much you appreciated his art.”
