NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- New York Road Runners, the nonprofit behind the TCS New York City Marathon, announced Tuesday that former New York Yankees pitcher and National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee CC Sabathia will serve as the marathon's Grand Marshal.

In this ceremonial role, Sabathia will lead the more than two million spectators lining the streets of New York City Sunday, Nov. 2, in cheering on more than 55,000 marathon runners making their way from the starting line on Staten Island to the finish line in Central Park.
