TRAVERSE CITY — A portion of the Boardman Lake Loop Trail will temporarily close this month for roof replacement work at the Hull Park Boathouse, according to city officials.

The trail will be closed at the Hull Park pedestrian bridge to the restroom on Wednesday, Oct. 15, for materials delivery. It will also close for roof installation from Wednesday, Oct. 22, through Tuesday, Oct. 28, weather permitting.

The roof replacement is part of the city’s preparation for its upcoming solar panel project at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will include the boathouse facility. The project is funded by a $1,685,479 Low Carbon Infrastructure Enhancement & Development Grant from the Michigan Public Service Commission.
