NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - North Charleston Police say they have charged a man previously convicted of a felony with having a loaded AR-15 magazine.
Nathaniel Lamar Gailliard Jr., 37, faces charges of unlawful possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, failure to stop for blue lights and sirens, and driving under suspension (first offense), police say.
Police were patrolling the area of La Quinta Lane at around 4 p.m. on Monday when a man approached officers to ask about employment opportunities within the city. Police said they saw the man get out of a van with a loaded AR-15 magazine in plain view within the van’s door pocket.
