NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Claire's Corner Copia has been a staple in New Haven for more than 50 years, and the owner has now written a fifth cookbook with 50 recipes.

According to the website, "50 Vegetarian Recipes from 50 Years at Claire’s Corner Copia" celebrates the recipes that customers have loved over the years.

All proceeds from the book go to the restaurant's Be Kinder Than Necessary Project, which helps raise money for a research grant with Yale University's Child Studies.

Claire Criscuolo talks with News 8's Ann Nyberg about how she left her job as a nurse to build a community with her restaurant.
