NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Health care workers gathered Tuesday in front of Yale New Haven Hospital in solidarity with Palestine.

This is the 54th weekly vigil for peace. Attendees say they are thankful for the ceasefire, but they also say Israel's actions have left Palestinians without adequate access to health care in the aftermath of the war against Hamas.

"We want health care workers -- doctors, nurses, technicians, etc. -- in this country to realize what's happening to their counterparts in Gaza," Phil Brewer, MD said. "That includes directly destroying the hospitals and the health centers."

Involved groups include Healthcare Workers for Palestine and Doctors Against Genocide.
